Pepper Agency Joins the IMTB

The Influencer Marketing Trade Body (“IMTB”) is delighted to announce that Pepper Agency – the award-winning full-service social agency has joined the professional membership organisation as one of its newest members.

Founded in 2019 by Forbes 30 under 30 co-founders, Pepper has been celebrated for its work across influencer, organic social, paid social, creative production and proprietary research.

Last year, the agency launched the Responsible Kidfluence Code — a cross-sector framework designed to help parents, creators, brands and agencies make ethical, informed decisions when children appear in social media content.

Pepper’s co-founders said on becoming IMTB members:

“Pepper is delighted to have formally joined the IMTB as a member, reflecting a strong alignment between our missions and our shared commitment to the long-term health of the influencer marketing industry.

“As an agency founded by practitioners and former creators, we care deeply about the integrity, sustainability and future of the creator economy. Since launching Pepper in 2019, we’ve felt a strong responsibility to protect and champion the space as it continues to grow, and we believe responsible influence sits at the heart of that future.

“Pepper has long admired the IMTB’s work in driving positive progress across the sector. Alongside this, we have independently been developing industry-led initiatives, including the Responsible Kidfluence Code and our Publisher Influence Standards. By joining the IMTB, we hope to bring these efforts into closer alignment with the wider industry and strengthen the collective impact we can have.

“We’re excited to add Pepper’s voice to the IMTB community and to continue working collaboratively towards a more responsible, trusted and sustainable influencer marketing industry.”

About the Influencer Marketing Trade Body

The IMTB is a UK-based not-for-profit trade association dedicated to driving responsible growth in creator marketing.

Launched in October 2021 with six founding members, the IMTB now counts circa. 35 progressive creator economy companies as members.

IMTB represents influencer marketing on the Committee of Advertising Practice ("CAP"), the UK advertising’s rule-making body.

It co-owns the Influencer Marketing Code of Conduct alongside ISBA. The Code aims to standardise good practices and guidance with brands, agencies and creators. It covers areas including disclosure, transparency, pay parity, and effective representation.

IMTB sits on the government's Online Advertising Taskforce as part of its influencer marketing workstream.

IMTB co-runs the Digital Creators All-Party Parliamentary Group, designed as a forum for creators to engage policymakers - acting as a vital bridge between the UK’s creators and Westminster

IMTB is an Advertising Association member. Our director general sits on the AA's council.

In 2024, IMTB co-founded the European Influencer Marketing Alliance - a federation of professional influencer marketing organisations across Europe. EIMA provides a unified voice for creator economy constituents to regulators, legislators, media, academics and other key stakeholders at a time of tremendous growth within the industry but also a time of increased legislative and regulatory scrutiny.

Member organisations sign up to our code of conduct when joining the IMTB. The code articulates specific requirements for members. These are the behaviours that members must demonstrate when they are providing business services and ensure our members are always responsible, accountable, transparent and competent.
