On the appointment of Michelle Donelan MP as the new Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport the Influencer Marketing Trade Body (‘IMTB’) has issued the following statement:
“We congratulate Michelle Donelan on being appointed Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and look forward to working with her and her DCMS colleagues to foster a sustainable environment in which the influencer marketing industry can thrive.
“Michelle Donelan starts her new role with many matters to contend with that impact our industry. These include the Online Safety Bill, the Online Advertising Programme consultation and the publication the Goverment’s much delayed formal response to the DCMS select committee report: ‘Influencer culture: lights, camera, inaction?’ published on 9th May. The IMTB looks forward to continuing its work with the DCMS to benefit the economy and wider society.”
