European Advertising Standards Alliance

Setting out high operational standards for advertising self-regulatory systems across Europe

IMTB enjoys membership of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) through its position as a founding member of the European Influencer Marketing Alliance.

EASA operates a network of 28 advertising self-regulatory organisations and 14 advertisers, agencies, and media plus a digital pure-play company.

EASA’s role is to set out high operational standards for advertising self-regulatory systems, and to provide a space for the advertising ecosystem to work together at the European and international levels to address common challenges and make sure advertising standards are future-proofed.

AdEthics for the Creator Economy

A key initiative from EASA is AdEthics - its training and certification programme for content creators.

AdEthics aims to equip influencers and content creators across Europe with the knowledge and tools to uphold high standards of advertising transparency and responsibility.

AdEthics combines two complementary pillars:

  1. Training: through a fast, accessible, and affordable online course on responsible advertising practices
  2. Certification: which supports responsible communication through ongoing monitoring of the creators’ published content.

Combined, training and certification form a comprehensive framework to assess, educate, and reinforce ethical marketing communications aligned with self-regulatory standards and legislation.
