Creators' Charter

Promoting information integrity for progressive, professional content creators

The Digital Content Creators' professional charter promotes Information Integrity. It is built around four key principles and calls upon Creators to make a series of commitments.

Truth, Accuracy and Verification

  1. We will not knowingly spread false or misleading content.
  2. We understand the importance of verifying information before sharing it with our communities.
  3. We commit to only publishing content that is accurate, reliable, and well-researched. This principle holds true whether we have originated the content or are sharing the information of others.
  4. We will fact-check our content using credible sources and correct any errors promptly.
  5. We will not promote products or services without conducting research and due diligence.

Transparency and Disclosure

  1. We will always disclose any material connections we have with brands or organisations and comply with relevant rules and regulations pertinent to the jurisdiction.
  2. We will be upfront about our opinions and perspectives, even when they are sponsored.

Authenticity and Integrity

  1. We value genuine connection with our communities. We welcome different opinions shared respectfully.
  2. We will stay true to our personal values and beliefs, even when faced with pressure to conform or promote products or services that we do not fully support.
  3. We will not engage in deceptive practices or misrepresent our experiences.
  4. We will not publish fabricated content designed to mislead including AI-generated ‘deepfake’ images, videos or audio.
  5. Clarity trumps brevity. We will take care not to oversimplify. We will not present our comment and opinion as fact.

Responsibility and Accountability

  1. We recognise the impact of our words and actions.
  2. We will use our influence to promote positive change and uplift our communities.
  3. We will take responsibility for the content we share and hold ourselves accountable for any harm it may cause.
  4. We adhere to relevant laws and regulations pertinent to the jurisdiction along with social media platforms’ terms of service and community guidelines.
